Cat and Dog First Aid and CPR

Upon completion of this course the participants will be able to:

Know how to check a cat or dog that appears to be having a first aid emergency.

Check an unconscious cat or dog for breathing and cardiac emergencies.

Provide basic wound care and control bleeding for a cat or dog.

Care for a cat or dog involved in a car accident.

Put together your pet's First Aid Kit.

Cost New Students: $50.00

Cost Refresher Students: $33.00

Registration: Use PayPal to send payment with credit card, debit card, or use your PayPal account. 

Certification Cards: A Lamorinda DART Pet First Aid / CPR card will be issued to all who successfully pass the course.

New Students: New students will receive a Cat OR Dog book, your choice, including a DVD.

Refresher Students: To qualify as a refresher student, you must have taken Red Cross Dog and Cat First Aid and CPR within the last 2 years. Please bring your card to class. One member of a couple may also register as a Refresher Student if you will use the same book as your New Student spouse.

Mannequin Policy: Mannequins are normally shared by two people. If you want a mannequin for yourself, there is an additional charge of $10. Because we rent many of the mannequins, we need to have confirmed, paid reservations one week before the class so mannequins can be ordered.

Cancellation Policy: Any cancellations after we commit to the mannequin order will be charged $10 for a shared mannequin or $20 for a private one.

Missed Class Policy: Because we have limited space in class and must rent some of the equipment, if you miss a class we will refund through PayPal or credit ONLY for materials not delivered: the book, DVD and bandage kit. This credit amount is $21.00 for new students and $4.00 for refresher students. To reregister if you have missed a class, email the instructor and a PayPal invoice for the appropriate amount will be sent to you.
